Unstack Privacy Policy
Last updated May 23, 2026
Unstack helps shoppers import visible cart, wishlist, saved-item, and product-grid details into their own Unstack session so they can compare items and decide what to buy, hold, or remove.
Information the extension reads
When you click the Unstack Import extension and choose to scan a page, the extension reads visible shopping-page content needed for the import: product names, prices, product images, product links, quantities, sizes, colors, retailer names, and related page context.
Information the extension stores
The extension may store your selected imported items in Chrome local storage so your Unstack session can be opened or continued. This data is stored locally in your browser unless you choose to open it in the Unstack web app.
How information is used
Shopping item information is used only to provide Unstack's core feature: importing your selected cart or wishlist items into your own comparison session. Unstack does not sell your shopping data, use it for personalized advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.
Limited usage analytics
Unstack may collect limited product usage analytics to understand whether the extension and app are working during testing and after launch. These analytics may include events such as extension installs or opens, scan attempts, scan success or failure, supported site name, page type such as cart or wishlist, item counts, import counts, app flow progress, matchup counts, abandonment point, time to complete a decision, repeat-flow counts, final decision category counts, and whether a final decision screen was reached or adjusted.
Unstack does not send raw product names, product links, product image URLs, full cart or wishlist contents, keystrokes, continuous browsing history, or shopping-site session recordings to analytics providers.
When information is shared
When you open your imported session in the Unstack web app, the selected item details are passed to the Unstack app so the comparison experience can run. Unstack does not transfer your imported shopping data to data brokers or advertising networks.
Browsing activity
Unstack Import is user initiated. It does not continuously monitor every page you visit. It scans a shopping page only when you open the extension and choose to scan that page.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
